VERNEY ROAD LONDON SE16 Dry Waterproofing Ltd were contracted by Phil Yardley the managing director of (SPM)Intelligent Print & Communications, based in South East London, to install a trafficable wearing surface to the print workshop floor at Verney Road, Bermondsey. The print workshop floor had been over painted with numerous coats of differing types of floor paint over many years, which had begun to peel and blister to varying degrees. However, our recommendations were greatly influenced by the recently installed large state of the art printing machine, which couldn’t be moved.
The most effective (100%) method of removing the existing floor paint in preparation for applying a new floor coating was ideally by grit/sand blasting, but this would have created a lot of dust to achieve. Therefore in the given circumstances and as a compromise, the floor was vacuum sanded to enable us to apply Newton’s Diasen FloorGum paint. Diasen FloorGum paint is water based and a non-slip multipurpose coating that is applied in two coats. The product is also suitable for playing surfaces, cycling paths, pedestrian areas, and is resistant to weather occurrences and UV rays.
